Layne Goldman
Art Therapy Intern
Layne Goldman is a first year art therapy student at the School of Visual Arts who has a passion for the visual arts and believes in the positive impact it can have on us as individuals. She previously received a BA in Art History at the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Visual Arts Administration from New York University. She has over 10 years of experience working in various institutions in the art world in New York City, and she got the most joy out of those experiences during the time she spent working with artists. She also spent time volunteering for Wide Rainbow, a non-profit organization that brings contemporary art to under-resourced schools and community centers around New York City. Layne is very interested in psychology, the mind, and their intersection with art making. She believes in the healing power of art and is looking forward to working with the Artistic Noise team in aiding the young people in the program throughout their creative processes and becoming part of their support system.
