Cassandra Arnold

Treasurer

Cassandra is a Finance and Compliance Manager for Columbia University's Sponsored Projects Finance team. She supports academic departments in meeting their financial reporting and cash management requirements for private and public grants and contracts of varying complexity. Prior to her current role, Cassandra was a program coordinator for a grassroots youth organization that provided enrichment programs in the areas of language arts, technology, art, and the environment. She co-created multiple program curricula and coordinated fundraising initiatives and special events. Cassandra was also an auditor and consultant in the public sector practice of a global public accounting firm for 17 years. She led various multi-disciplined teams in conducting business process analyses, compliance reviews, and information system redesign projects.  

Cassandra received her Masters in Public Administration from Rutgers University - Newark in 2017.  She studied Nonprofit management. She also wrote a series of articles regarding the human side of education technology policies for the PA Times online journal. She obtained her BS in Accounting from Alfred University. Her professional pursuit of compliance and structure is balanced by her love of community service, art, literature, and travel. Her Grenadian roots are often reflected in her Sunday dinners and music playlists.
